In this page, “the SACCO”, “we” and “us” mean the savings and credit cooperative society that operates this website and member portal. “Kopeza” is the online platform the SACCO uses to run its member services, provided by Dbrax Group Limited as the SACCO’s technology provider. “You” means the person applying for, or holding, membership and an account with the SACCO.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The SACCO decides why and how your personal data is used for its member services. Dbrax Group Limited provides and operates the Kopeza platform on the SACCO’s behalf and processes data only to provide, secure and support that service.
2. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, identification details, photo, phone number, email and address.
- Membership and KYC information: documents and details needed to verify your identity, eligibility and source of funds, as required by the SACCO’s policies and applicable law.
- Financial information: savings, shares, deposits, withdrawals, loans, repayments, guarantees, and related bank or mobile-money details.
- Employment and income information where needed to assess a loan.
- Technical and usage information: sign-in records, device and browser details, IP address and security logs.
- Communications you have with the SACCO, including support requests.
3. How we use it
- To assess and manage your membership and accounts, and to process transactions.
- To assess loan applications, manage repayments and administer guarantees.
- To verify identity and meet know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering, record-keeping and other legal obligations.
- To send service messages, statements, reminders and security alerts.
- To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and investigate misuse.
- To produce reports the SACCO needs for its governance, audit and lawful reporting duties.
4. Who we share it with
Only where necessary, with: SACCO officials and staff who need it for their role; Dbrax Group Limited as platform provider; service providers such as payment, SMS and email providers; your guarantors or the borrowers you guarantee, limited to what is needed for that guarantee; auditors and professional advisers; and authorities or other parties where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as you are a member and afterwards for as long as needed for legal, regulatory, audit and dispute-resolution purposes under the SACCO’s record-retention policy. Financial records may need to be kept for a number of years after your membership ends.
6. How we protect it
Access is restricted to authorised people, each organisation’s data is kept separate on the platform, and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used. No system is completely secure, so please also protect your own password and devices.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and the SACCO’s legal obligations, you may ask to access your data, correct inaccurate data, and ask questions about or object to how it is used. Some data must be kept or processed to run your accounts or to comply with the law, even if you ask otherwise. Contact the SACCO to make a request.

Kopeza uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against misuse and remember preferences such as language. These are needed for the service to work.
